This is my first Free WordPress Theme. It has a dark header and background (from which comes the name DarkoOo). The theme comes with 125×125 advertising space, a small “About me” space, and a place in the header to put your rss, twitter etc… links (easy configurable or removable). It has one Widgetized Sidebar.
This theme comes under a Creative Commons License that allows you to make all changes you like and to use it for personal use.
DarkoOo has been tested with Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 7, Safari 4 and Opera 9.6 and works fine.
The theme is no longer maintained. If you want you can download it below and try it or modify it as you like.

To conclude, I’d like to know what do you think about this theme. This will help me create an idea for my future designs. All comments will be appreciated.
UPDATE 21.05.2009: Added threaded comments and gravatar support. Let me know if you find any error.

That’s a fantastic-looking theme. Great effort. Quick question: Is it able to handle threaded comments?
For now it’s not possible, I don’t know how to do this (it’s my first theme) but I’ll try to figure it out.

It’s a very nice theme. The darker colored themes tend to be more popular. This one is very clean with a splash of detail for visual stimulation. I like it a lot.

Great theme! Could you tell me how to change header? I want to use a name my blog (my logo) instedead “darkoo”. I know, that I should to change image called “logo” (the same background, size and name – but I should use my logo), but it isn’t enough, because there are two images called logo: “logo23” and “logo 24” and they schwitch with light effect (dark ooo – light ooo). It’s funny, but my blog will be serious and I want simply one (dark) header without this effect. What I should change?
You should modify the “style.css” file. Just remove the part where “logo24” (the logo with the light effect) is used.

Great look I really like the colors, but I prefer a three column theme. A three column allows for more widgets. That is just my preference and something to think about for the future. You may want to offer your themes in a two or three column format and see which ones are used/downloaded most.
